The Art Institute of Vancouver offers an Interior Design Diploma Programme which aims to prepare students for the real world of work after graduation. Design courses at this university are balanced to provide students with a 3-dimensional understanding of the subject in terms of: space, form, and functionality.
Among other subjects the course covers: Colour, Drafting, Design, Space Planning, and Technical Drawing. The approach is very much hands-on and practical at this design school and students can expect to receive a good grounding in lighting, furniture, and materials.
Upon graduation students will be fully prepared for entry-level positions within the competitive world of interior design.
